Wanna Hitch a Ride to Betelgeuse !!!!

Well..Its good to begin at the beginning, so here i go..
Betelgeuse is a planet some light years away from Earth in the Galaxy..
I want to go there bcoz, Ford Prefect is from Betelgeuse n m in love with him !!!!!!
Now, this Ford Prefect of mine happens to be galactic researcher (interesting profession) for the Encyclopedia Galactica..
Haa Haa...
Now i will stop this nonsense and put it a bit more simply, m currently reading "Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy" by Douglas Adams.
Its a world oops ! galaxy in itself..
I kind of like the concept of hitchhiking.. And when's its the improbability spaceship that you use for the ride, it sounds even more interesting !
Mr.Adams is an amazing writer. He tickles your funny bone just as easily as he puts before you
principle's from physics. Adding spice to that, he builds up the character's superbly. I actually m in love with Mr.Ford Prefect :)
All those friends of mine who enjoy a good book, dont miss this...
Its going to be the centrepiece of my library..
P.S. - Mr.AJ dont worry, I plan to return ur copy!! And buy a one for my collection !! Unless of course somebody gifts one to me ;)

7 Colors for a RAINBOW.
7 Swaras for MUSIC.
7 Feras for the wedding.
7 Wonders Of the world.
7 Days in a week.
I wonder whats this human obsession with SEVEN.
Y seven days ?? i wud rather love to have a 5 day week !!( with 2 sundays of course)..
Whats lost if we have 8 Wonder's of the world ??
And to top it all there were chain mails n chain messages being fwded on 7-7-07 saying it was special !! Offfff !! Grow up folks...
Where did the '2' in the 7-7-2007 go ??? :P
And the SEVEN is a five letter word !
Just a thought !!

Rains N Nostalgia..

This sounds real funny n all i know.. But rains do make me nostalgic !I remember singing "Bheegi Bheegi Bheegi.." from Takshak n walking down some unknown road, trying to find my way :)
I remember the floods.. :(
I remember the pakodas n tea n rajai n book at home with stories from mom.. :)I walk down the water logged roads every yr.. Get stuck.. Hav issues with my two wheeler every yr...
But despite all this, I just enjoy rains..I make it a point to forget my umbrella or jacket atleast once ;)
Though currently my jacket is so useless that it doesnt matter even if i dont forget
it...Rains somehow remind me of a lot of good songs.. The gloomy weather does'nt help my
spirits, but it doesnt get me low either.
Rains just gimme a chance to lounge about my home all day :)I tactfully ignore the mess around me ..
The sound of raindrops or pouring rain always hypnotises me..The pitter- patter makes me think, makes me calm, and generally ensures that m at peace with myself..Me being a true Libran, its rather difficult that m at peace..
I always hav a big to-do-want-to-do-desperately list pretty handy ;)
The only thing i hate about the rains is spending a whole day at office after u r wet !I dont mind getting out n wet in the rains, but not when m expected to spend the day in AC.. :(
Rains are meant to be enjoyed going on long, muddy, wet treks !!
The whole ambience is such that the idea of being outdoor when its pouring is real charming !
All said n done, For me .... Rains r meant to be enjoyed lounging about!

Hmm.... Hmmmmmm..

For nearly a month now, every morning on my way to work and every night on my way back home, i think of a blog to post..Yet the fact remains that I have not put up anything for quiet some time now..
Blame it on my inherent laziness or to put it a bit more nicely - I've been real caught up and busy :))
So today and tomorrow i plan to post in atleast a couple of things..Feels good to be typing again :P
