"ThoughtFULL Corner"

There's a cosy corner in me, which is always brimming with thoughts, waiting to be unleashed. This seems "the place" to let my thoughts flow.. Hence the name - a corner full of myriad thoughts..

Some more snippets on the Swine flu

Has the spread of H1N1 reduced ?? Well.. Honestly the answer is I still don’t know ! All I can say is, there are fewer masks on the road.. More people daring to breathe the direct Oxygen….
And know what ? I am missing getting to watch those funny masks ! well.. They do look funny  one of my manager’s looks like an astronaut and another looks like Pinocchio :P
The feeling of concrete jungle is back…. The mountain effect was created by the constant ‘Nilgiri’ or Eucalyptus oil being used abundantly all around…
No longer so..
As for me, well m richer by a few bucks 
Since the malls, multiplexes were closed and I could not spend :P… I’ve immediately put it right though by going on a big shopping spree, claiming I am in dire need of clothes.. it kindda goes like this.. for 2 /3 days, keep cribbing to hubby about how my shirts do not make me look nice.. After 2 /3 days, he generally agrees (may be out of sheer frustration :P) that I do need some shirts.. so off we go to shoppers stop… then I ‘wander’ around to the t-shirt section and find a tee, which is the perfect fit, tailored only for me ! (this has to be something the hubby likes, so that I get to wander some more !) And woo ! we home with a couple of t-shirts and shirts 
So now m out of green bucks again 
Swine flu has also some other side effects.. I know atleast 2 people who have stopped chewing their nails… well well.. so far so good…
Just hope and pray now, that our immune system is geared up to counter H1N1….
I guess only time will tell… Fingers crossed….

Swine Flu and Pune

All the colleges /schools /coaching classes are closed down for a week. Multiplexes and malls closed for 3 days...
If at all you see people on the roads, atleast 3 out of 5 are seen wearing atleast some type of a mask.. Fergusson College Road, popularly known as "F.C. Road", where on a normal day there is so much of hustle bustle that you actually have to fight for a place to stand on the road. Now the road is almost deserted. Except for the lot of the likes of me, who need to reach their respective workplaces, the city wears a deserted look.
The city wears a silent sad boring look. Not much is different at the workplace. One sneeze and people give you the stingy look. Go home, u moron. Dont bring H1N1 in here.. they mean to say..
hmm..... here comes the dreaded(?) H1N1... Swine Flu.. A form of influenza.... so far about 800 confirmed cases in india, dead count 8...
Pune - the worst hit....
Add to this the gloomy weather, neither rains nor sun refuses to make a lasting appearance...
Does it really have to be so bad ??
Couldnt our govt have done better? Or are they just trying to divert the attention from stuff like bad roads....
Did there have to be only one Naidu hospital for testing ? for the whole of pune ?
India really lacks the basic infrastructure..... roads.. healthcare...
Also leaves me wondering - do we need to worry so much about the flu ?? Hundreds of ppl must be dying of malaria, dengue and what not. Have we ever bothered ? The number of accident deaths when compared to the flu, is much higher.
Are we blowing this out of proportion ?? Or is there something that I am missing here ??
Is it so difficult to practise basic common sense hygiene ??
{I wonder how... I wonder why.... (Song from Fools Garden, called Lemon Tree)}
