"ThoughtFULL Corner"

There's a cosy corner in me, which is always brimming with thoughts, waiting to be unleashed. This seems "the place" to let my thoughts flow.. Hence the name - a corner full of myriad thoughts..

GO GOA...

For one whole week, the only mails in my mailbox had the following subjectline Re: Goa Plan...
Well... we actually left on thurs night (20 th oct '05) and had a rocking time..
The trip was as memorable as the planning..
7 ppl, one qualis, 1 driver n off we went armed with cameras and all the beach gear ...
The gang was Saudamini - the sensible, Sam - the philo, Panini - the treasurer,
Tosho - the funnyman, Abhya - the quiet, Mrunal - the planner n of course Me - the ??
We had a wonderful time..Nice walks on the beaches, short discussions on everything and anything under the sun..Boat Ride, Tattos, Shopping ... u name it we did it..
Also some temples n churches...There was a lot of leg pulling, some serious talk, lots of plans for the future.. There was individualism and there was great team spirit..Guess i m getting a bit philosophical ('philo'- thats what Sam is actually called) ,but then beaches always drive me a bit towards philosophy!!
The first spot we hit, was an off-track place called Amboli.. There we got our first glimpse of breathtaking beauty n crabs !!
It was a quaint little place... with very little human interference ... A great way to begin Goa trip ,philosophical speaking...
We also got a bit 'philo' on the Dil Chahta Hai fort..
The sea, the sand, the sun, the trees, the cool breeze, great friends.. hmm...
The beach called Armol was full of foreigners and lots of shopping stuff , bikes n tourist vehicles that go with the foreigners..
There were two ppl who were trying para-surfing.. Wow.. i want to do it sumtime pakka..
Colva beach, Vagator beach, Miramar were the other beaches we hit..
We actually had a halt at Colva Residency, felt like living right on the beach.. :)
This is where we did all the crazy stuff like tattos on our arms n all.. :)
Also we got some designer snaps .. !!
We checked out Dona Paula, a famous tourist spot, n did shorts n t-shirt shopping there...
We roamed in Panaji n Margao..
At Panaji, we had to struggle to find a decent eating place at 10.30 in the night !!
For people living in Pune, this 'suseigaad' (go-easy) goan attitude is a bit hard to digest..
On sumwhat religious front, we prayed at the Mangeshi Temple, and the Bom Jesus Basilica (Old Goa Church).. (Weird combo..!!)
On the way back we took a road-less-travelled..
We visited this Kunkeshwar Temple..
We reached there almost after sunset, so it was pretty dark.. And now its been added to my wishlist to visit this place during daytime..It was beautiful... dark n mysterious...Swirling wind, waves dashing among the rocks, created weird music... added to the charm..
We crossed Devgad, Mrunal's hometown..Sneaking road with Mango trees standing guard on both sides..thats how the road there was.. enticing!!
The trip finally came to an end on monday morning at around 5 am..
The memories are still fresh, the laughter goes on and on...
